I was Starving for Truth

I have found the priceless treasure – the one that neither the professional miner can tap nor what the wealthiest man can possess.

By Ana Hazel Chavez

We usually hear people say, “To see is to believe.” They would always ask you for proofs of something you tell them that they hardly believe in.

One of my classmates in high school said, “I will only believe in God if I will see Him face to face.” Another one exclaimed, “It’s impossible!”

I DO BELIEVE IN GOD. I believe in Him even if I haven’t seen Him in person.

Later, I found out it’s but possible to see God as what Bro. Eli Soriano had taught us.

It all started as a quest for the least evil religion. I had been a Catholic member for nineteen years and was actively joining church activities especially theatrical groups. While an active Catholic member, I didn’t restrict myself from attending other religion’s worship services. I was doing this because I was looking for something I never knew until I became a member of the Church of God.

I was starving for truth.

It was year 2002 when I became aware that Ang Dating Daan existed through a hardheaded neighbor named Joje. He was a regular pester in our house, comfortably turning on our television to SBN-21 to make me watch Bro. Eli’s program.

At first, I would always get him out of the house. However, things changed when I started to get addicted watching the phenomenal religious program, Ang Dating Daan.

I was amazed at how Bro. Eli explained the Bible and exposed other religions’ erroneous and misleading doctrines. Eventually, I became an avid viewer of the program and an avid fan of Bro. Eli. The time came when I realized little by little that I was getting on spiritually.

Months later, I underwent indoctrination and on January 28, 2003, I was included in the church’s official list of members.

Through the years, I was proving to myself that I have found the priceless treasure – the one that neither the professional miner can tap nor what the wealthiest man can possess. Most of all, I have found the man who bore God’s immeasurable wisdom – Bro. Eliseo Soriano.

With a head up, I proudly say that I am a member of the Church of God International.

I AM PROUD TO BE A CHRISTIAN!
